Incredible! Acrobats of China featuring the New Shanghai Circus celebrates the exotic wonders of China while showcasing dramatic interpretation of classic Chinese dance and physical performance art.
Featuring spectacular backdrops, beautiful costuming, and state-of-the-art lighting this show is a thrill a minute!
The New Shanghai Circus presents a revolving line-up of favorite acts including Diabolo (Chinese Yo-Yo), Bicycle Tricks, Pole Climbing, Russian Bar, Aerial Fish Ballet, Adagio, Plates Spinning, Magic Clock, Roller Skating, Kung Fu Martial Arts, Handstand Art, Human Top, Chair Stack and more.
Each year the troupe adds new performers who have won national and international competitions. The show combines extraordinary and inventive feats of strength and skill, control and balance.
Considered to be China's most celebrated acrobatic company, the performers of the New Shanghai Circus have stunned audiences all over the world. This year's entourage from China includes a full-time cook, several coaches/teachers, technicians, propmaster, carpenter, costume designer and other staff members. They've joined their talents to create a fast-paced production that brings the Orient to Branson!
In 2005, the New Shanghai Theatre was built and specially designed to accommodate this unusual and elaborate production, as well as to integrate the ancient history of China with modern Chinese architectural style. The theatre features elements cascading waterfalls, Chinese gardens, rare chiming stones, and a sculpture of Chinese Bronze Ware that is approximately 3,500 years old.
The New Shanghai Circus was founded in 1991 as a touring company from its parent troupe, the Shanghai Magic Troupe in Shanghai, China. It's been an upward spiral ever since with more than 80 tours around the world including a 1998 and 2008 stint on Broadway, appearances on a variety of national TV shows, an award from the Chinese Acrobatic Association for the cultural exchange the Acrobats of China have created in Branson and a permanent second home in Branson, Missouri!

I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it! The performers kept me amazed nad entertained for almost two hours. Best show I can remember seeing .... anywhere. I will see it again on my next trip to Branson. Ten stars!

From age 3-66 everyone of my family was entertained. It's similar to the feats of a Cirque du Soleil. The acrobats are energetic, and there is not a bad seat in the theatre.

This show was simply awesome! I took my little nieces to see it and we all sat rivited on the first row. It is well rehearsed and well done, and besides all that, I like to see a show where the people look like they are enjoying what they are doing! And they did! Go early and watch the video on Shanghai for it is well worth it. Just awesome!

Absolutely amazing. These young acrobats will absolutely blow you away with their grace, strength and choreography. My husband and I saw it last year on a fluke and it was one of the most incredible shows we've ever seen. This year, we're meeting up with my parents in Branson and absolutely want them to see it with us.
